Adaptable Network Control and Reporting System (ANCORS)
The most significant trends in network architecture design are being driven by the emerging needs for global mobility, virtual networking, and active network technology. The key property common to all these efforts is adaptability: adaptability to redeploy network assets, to rewrite communication rules, and to make dynamic connectivity a natural element in network operations. Critical to the deployment and management of these future networks is the need to control adaptability to optimize performance and stability needed for robust communication. To date, no tools exist to assist network planners in the runtime assessment and control of given changes to network infrastructure. For more information, read the detailed overview of the project.
