System Requirements

The EMERALD eXpert-BSM Monitor requires a Sun Microsystems Sparc platform running one of:

• SunOS 5.6 (Solaris 2.6) with service patch 105621-24 or newer
• Solaris 7 with service patch 106541-12 or newer
• Solaris 8 with service patch 108875-07 or newer

The EMERALD eXpert-BSM monitor generally consumes around 5-12 MB of process space. We recommend running eXpert-BSM on machines with 64 MB or more of memory and 20 MB or more local disk space available. For more information on expected process growth, refer to the eXpert-BSM FAQ.
