- To do:
1. Patriach Grove of Bristle Cone: Some 25 miles off Big Pine
to the east of 395....only dirt road accessible. John says its
the best place on earth --- oldest living trees on earth, the
landscape looks weird out-of-earth, and you get the best view
of the eastern face of the Sierras from there.
It is not likely to be accessible at this time of the year.
We need to wait until summer.

2. Bodie : 20 miles east of 395 from south of yosemite.

3. Devils Postpile: hexagonal blocks of rock formed by some
geological phenomenon. Somewhere off 395 (noth of Mammoth).

4. Grand Canyon of the Toulumne Meadows (yosemite),
Mt. Whitney (trailhead at Lone Pine), Half Dome, White Mountains
(across Owens valley oveseeing eastern face of Sierra Nevada range).
