Come celebrate the Indian Festival of Lights with an exquisite Kuchipudi dance recital by Shoba Natarajan, Sasikala Penumarthi and Anuradha Nehru, all senior disciples of the world renowned Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam. Kuchipudi, the classical dance form of Andhra Pradesh is related to Bharat Natyam and includes graceful movements set to intricate rhythmic variations. The programme will include six dances set to songs from the well known composers of Carnatic classical music.

About the artiste: Shoba Natarajan is one of the finest exponents of two of India's classical dance styles, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She has given over 600 programs all over India, USA, the former USSR, Malaysia and Phillipines, and is the recipient of several prestigious awards and recognitions, including a grant from the Durham Arts Council.
